All evaluators using the CESA 3 Evaluation Model are to attend an annual training each year. This one-day training completed every year allows teams to recalibrate and focus on best practices and priorities for staff as a district.
The CESA 3 Evaluation Model is grounded in Dr. Charlotte Danielson’s research using the framework of the Clusters: Clarity and Accuracy; Learning Environment; Classroom Management; Instructional Engagement; Successful Learning; Professionalism.
Participants will:
- Review the Framework for Teaching (FfT) Six Clusters to evaluate high-quality teacher practices
- Align the principal evaluation framework to their work with educator effectiveness
- Practice providing meaningful feedback to teachers
- Build rater reliability and consistency in the practice
- Work together to develop timelines and plan for the upcoming school year
