In this workshop, participants will explore the powerful “Strive-for-Five” framework—a research-based approach to fostering rich, responsive conversations that strengthen young children’s language and thinking skills. Rooted in the science of reading, this framework helps teachers build on what children say through five-turn exchanges that promote deeper communication, vocabulary development, reasoning, and comprehension. Through practical and authentic examples, educators will learn how to effectively use Strive-for-Five conversations to support reading success and nurture confident, expressive learners.
