Are you an educator who teaches students in grades 3-12? Are you looking for ways to increase, improve, and support the development of students’ writing abilities?
Keys to Content Writing provides professional development for research-based best practices for writing instruction that can be integrated in any subject and aligned to state literacy standards. Participants learn practical strategies for teaching writing skills, how to use writing to support content learning, and how to provide scaffolds to students who need support.
The asynchronous course takes approximately 12 hours to complete and a training manual is included. The topics/modules include:
- Writing Basics
- Quick Writes
- Sentences and Paragraphs
- The Writing Process
- Summary Writing
- Three Types of Writing (informational, opinion/argument, narrative)
- Writing from Sources
*Additionally, this exclusive cohort will have access to four LIVE 1-hour facilitated sessions to expand on the course modules, collaborate with other CESA 3 educators, and bring this learning into action. Can’t make it to a session? They will be recorded and shared out.
Interested in joining? Don’t wait! There is a maximum of 12 participants for this cohort.
See you there!
