9:00 am – 3:00 pm
Bring your district team—or send a leader who can move this work forward. Leave with a plan ready to put into action.
Move beyond conversations about digital literacy, AI, and cybersafety. This hands-on workshop provides the expert guidance, practical resources, and dedicated planning time your district needs to develop a coordinated approach to K–12 digital literacy.
Our students are navigating a rapidly changing digital world. Are we equipping them with the skills to navigate it safely, responsibly, and critically?
We’ve heard from school leaders across our region that AI literacy, digital citizenship, and cybersafety are growing priorities. The challenge isn’t recognizing the need. It’s finding the time, resources, and coordinated approach to address it.
It’s Time to Turn These Priorities Into Action.
This interactive workshop brings district leaders and educators together to identify challenges, explore trusted resources, learn from experts, and dedicate time to developing a practical plan for their district.
This isn’t just another day of professional learning. It’s an opportunity to make meaningful progress on work that matters for your students.
What You’ll Gain
- Identify Your District’s Priorities & Vision. Examine current challenges, assess existing practices, and define what successful digital literacy implementation could look like in your district.
- Learn from the Wisconsin Department of Justice. Gain insights into real-world cybersafety concerns, online threats, digital footprints, and strategies to support student safety.
- Explore Ready-to-Use Instructional Resources. Experience Common Sense Education’s K–12 digital citizenship and digital literacy lessons. Evaluate resources, consider grade-level applications, and identify opportunities to integrate them into instruction.
- Build Your Plan & Track Your Progress. Access a district implementation tracking tool and dedicated planning time to establish next steps, identify responsibilities, and determine how to measure success.
Who Should Attend?
We encourage districts to bring a team of administrators, instructional coaches, technology leaders, and educators to collaborate on a coordinated approach.
Can’t bring a full team? Send a district leader in emerging technology who can help guide this work and share resources and strategies with colleagues.
Whether your district is just beginning this work or strengthening existing practices, you’ll leave with practical resources, a clearer direction, and actionable next steps.
The Need Is Now. Let’s Build a Plan.
Our students are already engaging with AI and navigating complex digital environments. Let’s work together to ensure they have the knowledge, skills, and support to navigate them successfully.
Join us October 20 and take meaningful steps toward a districtwide digital literacy plan.
