Join us for a community listening session on Wednesday, May 6 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at CESA 3. A light lunch will be provided and registration is appreciated.
The Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI), in partnership with the School Superintendents Association (AASA), is inviting educators, families, community members, and business leaders to help define what success looks like for Wisconsin students.
This session is part of a statewide effort to develop Wisconsin’s Portrait of a Graduate—a shared vision of the knowledge, skills, and mindsets every student should have by the time they graduate, no matter the path they choose.
Why This Matters
The Portrait of a Graduate goes beyond academics. It reflects the real-world skills students need to thrive in college, careers, and life, including:
- Critical thinking
- Communication
- Collaboration
- Adaptability
- Lifelong learning
Your input will help ensure this vision reflects the values, priorities, and expectations of our local communities.
About the Initiative
Grounded in Wisconsin’s commitment to strong public education, this work aligns with DPI’s focus on modernizing learning environments and expanding meaningful, real-world learning experiences for students.
AASA brings national expertise to this effort, having supported similar initiatives in multiple states and hundreds of school systems across the country.
Together, this partnership is helping Wisconsin build a clear and future-focused vision for student success.
What to Expect at the Session
This listening session is designed to gather community feedback and perspectives. Participants will have the opportunity to:
