About IRC+:

IRC+ provides districts with sustainable access to high-quality equipment and training kits, while generating funds to expand and enhance future offerings. By subscribing to IRC+, districts gain continued access to valuable resources without the need for costly individual equipment purchases.

IRC+ enables CESA 3 to:

  • Maintain and replace existing equipment.
  • Purchase additional kits to expand credential options.
  • Ensure equitable access for all of our CESA 3 districts to state-of-the-art equipment and technology.
  • Coordinate county-wide career fairs, connecting students with employers and exposing them to high-demand careers.

How It Works:

  • Kits are checked out for two weeks and delivered directly to schools.
  • Educators offering NC3 certifications receive required training through the CESA 3 consortium — a one-time, NC3-approved professional development covered by the IRC+ contract with recertification for each course every three years.
  • CESA 3 coordinates credential enrollment and management.

Why It Matters:

  • Students: Gain confidence, skills, and credentials that open doors to scholarships and careers.
  • Employers: Benefit from a skilled, job-ready talent pipeline.
  • Schools: Save on costly equipment purchases while earning CTE Incentive Grants for each approved credential completed – supporting ongoing growth for CTE programs across our region.

With IRC+, districts can expand hands-on learning, increase credential opportunities, and help every student graduate career-ready – without the burden of costly equipment purchases. Together, we’re building pathways to success — one credential at a time.
