FREE Live Webinar featuring Dr. Jo. Boaler, co-author of the book, Data Minds, and Ellie Olson, CESA 3 Math Consultant

June 17, 2026 | 12:30 – 1:30 pm

A WI CESA Year in Math Event

CESA 3 is thrilled to welcome Dr. Jo Boaler for this FREE live webinar to celebrate the Year of Math! Join us to:

  • Discover how building students’ curiosity about data prepares them for a data-rich world.
  • Learn how learners across grade levels can explore patterns, ask meaningful questions, and communicate insights through engaging, real-world data experiences.

In this session, I will highlight the importance of data literacy and share examples of how teachers across grade levels are fostering inquisitive, analytical “data minds” in their classrooms. Developing students’ curiosity about data is essential for preparing them to navigate an increasingly data-rich world. This work begins in the earliest grades and grows over time, as students learn to engage with data in multidimensional ways—posing meaningful questions, exploring patterns, setting up models, and communicating their insights.
